Land and Construction Surveying

Surveying provides individuals with boundary and setback requirements to meet local and state zoning and building laws that are established by governing municipal property ordinances over time. These ordinances establish how property will be developed and maintained within a local or state jurisdiction based on these setback requirements. This course will provide individuals with an understanding of land and construction surveying techniques and principles as it relates to the completion of residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects that are created by design professionals. Individuals who have successfully completed this course will have a better understanding of surveying as it pertains to laying out buildings, roads, and sewer/ water lines that are required to maintain and develop infrastructure needs within this country and around the world.
